A Brief Introduction to the History of China's Poetry Development: The earliest poem is The Book of Songs, which is about 3000 years ago. Its content consists of three parts: style, elegance and praise, and the sentence pattern is four words. After the Book of Songs, a new style of poetry appeared in Chu State, called "Chuci", which was founded by Qu Yuan and developed into five-character rhythmic poetry and seven-character rhythmic poetry.
Poems sung to match music appeared in Han Dynasty, that is, "Yuefu Poems" were mostly five-character poems. In the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the nature of balance and rhythm appeared, forming the main content of metrical poems.
The Tang Dynasty is the heyday of China's poetry development, which is divided into: regular poems and quatrains. Song dynasty was the most developed, and this is the word, also called long and short sentences. In the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, a new genre appeared, called Qu, also called Sanqu.
