"Why Qiang () flute to tamarix chinensis lour? Spring breeze is not enough. " From Hexi Corridor to Yumenguan, thousands of miles of Guanshan Road, there is no spring breeze, no green. It is not only yellow sand that catches our eye, but also yellow sand.
Suddenly, we found a willow tree standing proudly not far ahead. This kind of willow is tall and strong, tall and straight, with thick branches and a crown like a veil. We suddenly got excited and rushed to the next year, galloping forward. In the shade, ah, what a thick tree! Two people can't hold each other well.
This kind of willow outside the Great Wall is very different from the soft willow near the inland lake and river. The willow branches on the mainland are slender, soft and lovely. The willow branches here are tall and straight, and the branches are firmly growing upwards. This towering tree standing on the beach of Ge has a heroic and fearless momentum, overwhelming all difficulties and obstacles!
The tour guide noticed our excitement and told us calmly that the tree was called Zuo Gong Liu. What about left? We are even more surprised. The tour guide smiled and told us the story behind the tree name:
"At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Agubo, the military leader of western neighboring countries, led troops into southern Xinjiang with the support of Britain. Then, Russia took the opportunity to send troops to occupy Ili in northern Xinjiang. The crisis in the northwest frontier of China is getting more and more serious, and the country is in a hurry!
"At that time, some officials of the imperial court had a wrong understanding of defending Xinjiang and advocated giving up Xinjiang. Seeing that Xinjiang was about to be invaded by foreign countries, Zuo, then governor of Shaanxi and Gansu, stepped forward and strongly advocated the recovery of lost land in Xinjiang: Xinjiang is a territory and inheritance that countless ancestors have worked hard to open up, how can it be handed over to our generation! Looking at the view that Xinjiang is a desert barren land thousands of miles away, he generously (Kā n ɡ k I) vehemently refuted:' The north and south of Tianshan Mountain are rich in grain, melons and fruits are tired [léi], cattle and sheep are everywhere, and horses are in groups; Coal, iron, gold, silver, jade and other mineral deposits are also extremely rich. The so-called desert and barren land are really a cornucopia Then, Zuo, who knows the art of war, pointed out bluntly: "If we give up Xinjiang, it will leave a gap for the invaders to attack the hinterland of China!"
"The 60-year-old man with a clanking skeleton volunteered (y and n ɡ)! His loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm for the country touched the Manchu civil and military. "At this point, the tour guide paused, looked at the willow affectionately, and then went on to say:
"It was a sad night. There is no bright moon in the sky and no one on the ground to see me off. However, this resolute and tenacious old man in Hunan is still full of confidence in the face of many difficulties, such as unmoved military forces, lack of food and grass (ɡnɡXi) and transportation difficulties. He shoulders the great trust of the people of China, and the fire of justice burns in his chest. He led an army of 60,000 Huxiang (xiānɡ) and quietly left Beijing for the battlefield thousands of miles away.
"Left the team all the way west, mighty. Shockingly, everyone in this team is carrying a black lacquer coffin (ɡuān)! This coffin was prepared by Zuo for himself. Before he left, Zuo solemnly told his men that if he died in the battle to recover lost territory in Xinjiang, he would use this coffin to collect the body. In the face of the determination to die, all the officers and men present were filled with tears and moved. They know that this resolute and wise old general has long anticipated the dangers in the journey, but he has completely ignored his own life and death!
"This is the old general in his sixties. In less than two years, he led the troops to complete the great cause of recovering the lost land in Xinjiang (except Yili). "
The tour guide also told us:
"Left not only plans how to recover lost land in Xinjiang, but also thinks about how to build Xinjiang. During the battle, he felt that there was no shade in the Gobi desert, so he led troops to plant trees. His Huxiang Army is not only a battle trip, but also an army of planting trees. Everyone took willow saplings with them, planted them all the way, stopped before and managed them later, and mobilized the masses to take care of them in sections. Finally, trees were planted on the Gobi desert thousands of miles away, forming a spectacle of' green thousands of miles beyond the Great Wall'. These willows not only witnessed the recovery of lost land in Xinjiang, but also gave birth to the ancient Silk Road. In memory of Zuo, people call this willow "Zuo".
After listening to the tour guide's story, we can't help but stare at the willow tree in front of us-it still stands in the yellow sand, with dense leaves, steel-like branches and tall and straight bodies, with tenacious vitality in the life-and-death struggle with the desert ... Where is this ordinary willow tree? It is clearly the indomitable and tenacious spirit tree of patriotic soldiers!
