Every year in early April, my grandpa’s morning tea begins to be picked. The green and tender "Shaoxing Longjing" with its unique fragrance attracted us, so during the Qingming Festival holiday, my parents and I went to my grandpa's house to pick tea leaves.
Early that morning, after "reconnaissance", we found that the morning tea had sprouted, and the largest one was as long as a cigarette butt. Grandpa said it was time to pick tea leaves, so we started picking tea leaves without saying a word.
Tea leaves are opposite. The newly grown young tea leaves usually have two leaves, with pointed buds on top, and an emerald-colored rectangular leaf stem bordered in the middle of the leaves. The blossoms are so cute. The large tea leaves are like bullets, very full and somewhat dazzling. Most of them are just pointed tips emerging from the tea tree, only as big as rice. Very endearing.
At first, none of the tea leaves I picked was complete. Either half or only a small piece, and the tea leaves picked by my mother are full and juicy, and they are full of energy. And my mother picked three times as much as me. How could this happen? I began to pay attention to my mother's movements. It turns out that my mother picked the tea leaves by pinching the stems of the tea leaves with her fingers. Unlike me, I stretched out my hand to grab the tea leaves as soon as I saw them, and grabbed all the good tea leaves into flakes. Haha, this is not a problem for me! I followed my mother's example and picked it, and sure enough, the tea leaves I picked were also intact. Next is the issue of improving efficiency.
When I was picking a tea tree with many and big tea leaves like a giant cactus, I finally discovered the problem - it turns out that when I pick tea leaves, I always pick the big ones first. , and then go back and forth to find a smaller one. Going back and forth like this several times not only wastes time, but after picking for a long time, you will find that there are still many tea leaves that have not been picked. So I came up with a good way to pick tea leaves around the tea tree, like the growth rings of trees, one by one, so that I won't waste time and won't miss the ones that can be picked. of tea. Gradually, I picked almost as fast as my mother. I even felt that sometimes it was faster than my mother.
Traversing on the steep tea hills is not an easy task. Sometimes when moving from the upper row of tea trees to the lower row. The fear of heights will attack, and the whole person will tilt downward as if he is about to plunge straight down, and his legs will shake involuntarily. My mother told me that I should walk sideways at this time, first step on a row of ground with one foot sideways, and then carefully remove the other foot. So although I was very scared, I still went down without any danger.
When my basket was full, we went home. After arriving home, grandpa immediately fried tea leaves on the machine. After about half an hour, the fragrant tea leaves were ready.
I couldn’t wait to bring boiling water to make tea, and started to taste it carefully before the water cooled down. The tea is a little bitter when you first drink it, but when you swallow it and taste it again, there will be a sweet taste that will leave you with an endless aftertaste.
The tea you pick yourself is really bitter at first and then sweet!
Drinking tea is fun, picking tea is even more fun!
