Today last year was a day that the Chinese nation will never forget. On that day, an earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Wenchuan, Sichuan. It is the most widespread and destructive one since the founding of New China. In the past 300 days and nights, there are many things to feel, remember, recall and think about. On such a special day today, various commemorative activities are being prepared or carried out all over the country. This is undoubtedly of great significance for people to remember the dead, mourn, strengthen their confidence and speed up reconstruction.
Then what kind of commemoration is appropriate? I think this kind of commemoration can neither make people feel sad again too sadly, nor show off that they are consuming sadness, nor change the color and taste of sadness. Instead, through this commemorative activity, the memory of the deceased will be transformed into care for the living, helping the people in the disaster areas to get out of the shadows; Through this commemorative activity, every public is urged to think more deeply about the construction of civil social morality and responsibility, the development of charity, the scientific, humanized and long-term relief, and other deep-seated things; Through this commemoration, the beauty of human nature can be condensed into a stable moral belief, and kindness and fraternity can be implanted in people's hearts for a long time, instead of always relying on disasters to awaken the most precious and true feelings in the depths of human spirit, and always relying on disasters to stimulate the beauty of human nature. In the struggle against natural disasters, mankind still has a long way to go, but can ordinary people do nothing? Today, when the disaster prediction can't be completely accurate, how should we protect the precious life given to us by God, how to make the most timely and wise choice at the moment of disaster arrival, how to save ourselves and save others, and how to avoid or reduce the occurrence of tragedies? In 2007, the first campus safety and risk management forum published a set of surprising figures. In the past year, about 1.6 million primary and middle school students and 3,000 college students died abnormally. Investigation shows that 45% of all kinds of campus accidents are caused by students' poor safety awareness, and 80% can be avoided through education, prevention and strengthening management and taking measures in advance.
Life always cares for people with safety awareness. If we pay more attention to individual life, if we strengthen relevant life safety education and protect life with knowledge, many disasters may disappear. Fortunately, after the Wenchuan earthquake, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction and public safety education became the conscious choice of many schools, and the concept of "cherishing life and protecting life" became the knowledge of most teachers and students.
Every green life needs careful care. With the approval of the State Council, since 2009, May 12 every year has been designated as "Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day". According to the spirit of the Notice of the General Office of the Provincial Department of Education on Launching Emergency Evacuation Exercise and Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Publicity Week for Teachers and Students in 10,000 Schools in the Province, in order to do a good job in the first disaster prevention and mitigation day publicity and education activities and disaster prevention and mitigation publicity week activities (May 7, 2009-13), the emergency exercise of "practicing once a day and once a month" was carried out in a down-to-earth manner. Every student must take time out to watch and study at the publicity window in front of the canteen.
Requirement 2: In order to improve the emergency evacuation ability of teachers and students and prevent accidents such as crowding and trampling, the junior high school campus will organize an earthquake emergency evacuation drill at 5: 50-4: 30 pm on May 12. The senior high school campus will not participate in this activity, but every student and teacher is required to skillfully treat every routine drill and every large-scale gathering during recess as an evacuation process and an escape process.
