182 1 April, Heine arrived in Berlin. In August of the same year, his lover's cousin Amalie married someone else. He suffered a great mental shock. On the one hand, he is deeply in the pain of lovelorn, on the other hand, it is difficult to give up his love for Amalie. In the second year (1822), the poet wrote poems in Lyric Interlude, which was later included in Song Collection as the second book. Most of these poems take love as the theme, expressing the frustration and pursuit of the poet in love life, and are an important part of the poet's love poems. Riding on singing wings is one of them.
This love poem is very distinctive: the poet takes readers to India in the east and depicts the beautiful scenery on the banks of the Heng River in India. Of course, the realization of this ideal of love is not in the real life of Germany, but in an imaginary foreign country. The poet drifted his thoughts to a foreign country and wandered in the beautiful and charming East. This is by no means a passive escape from reality, let alone unconsciously imagining a colorful tower and hiding in the illusion created by oneself. On the contrary, the poet's description of this beautiful eastern world is an artistic expression of his dissatisfaction with German reality. The poet and his "lover" can only enjoy the nectar of love, the tranquility of life and the dream of happiness under the palm trees on the Ganges River in India. Doesn't this clearly show that there was no soil to realize the ideal of love, freedom and happiness in Germany's stale and backward real life at that time? Calling for beauty and praising beauty is also a condemnation and exposure of ugliness; Expressing and depicting ideals is actually a whipping and sentencing of reality.
