Looking at the Night in Jiangcun is a seven-character quatrain written by Dai Fugu, a poet in Song Dynasty.
The first two sentences of the poem describe the scene of sunset, tide and fishing boats at the river head; The next two sentences are about a white bird by the water. The whole poem adopts line drawing technique, with bright language, picturesque scenery and dynamic and static combination.
The description of "stillness" and "movement" in this poem is very clever, and the colors are just right: yellow beaches, mottled fishing boats, dark brown banks, green rivers, green reeds, white reeds and white waterfowl are more colorful and dazzling in the bloody sunset. Verbs such as "Zhao", "Shelf", "Li" and "Jin" seem bland, but their actual application is very accurate and appropriate, which makes the whole poem vivid. It fully embodies the poet's kung fu of refining ci.
The sunset on the river covered the beach by the river. The tide receded and the fishing boat leaned against the shore. A pair of white waterfowl stopped by the river. Smelling someone coming, I flew into the reeds warily. Dai Fugu is an important poet of Jianghu School in Southern Song Dynasty. Walking in the rivers and lakes, the footprints are all over the main areas of South China.
The poet looked at the riverside scenery in the evening, a static picture: sunset, flat sand, river water, fishing boats, Bai Niao, everything seemed frozen, so quiet and silent. Suddenly, people were surprised. Let the whole picture move.
