What are the advantages of using the first person in poetry?
The advantage of first-person writing is that it is true and unknown. I never know what will happen behind the next wall of the book. I can listen, I can judge, I can analyze according to clues, but before I bypass this wall, all this is inaccurate, just like what happened in reality. The unknown future and the fields I can't touch are the mysterious sources of first-person writing. When I bypass this wall, I make readers feel real no matter whether I meet a fairy, a ghost, a zombie or a beautiful woman. The truth of the first person comes from the detailed description of the protagonist, including language, action and psychology. Because the protagonist is me, I naturally know myself better than others, at least I always understand my thoughts. I even know what I will do next. Through a detailed description of me, readers' inner feelings and thoughts can be awakened.
