Nietzsche put it well: "Without music, life is worthless."
Like all mortals, I love music all my life and am an erhu lover. When I was a teenager, I even had an absurd dream of entering a music school.
Write some interesting stories about music in your life and share them with your friends.
First, the little xiang opera fan.
In the early days of liberation, going to the theatre was the most important entertainment for citizens. At that time, Yiyang had four theaters: Silver Star, Great World, Wumafang and Zhihua. The plays staged in Yiyang are mainly Hunan ancient painting and xiang opera. Occasionally, there are Peking Opera, Hubei Han Opera, Guangxi Gui Opera, Henan Yu Opera and civilized opera.
Hunan ancient painting drama originated from folk songs, with vulgar language and rough tunes. White singing is an authentic dialect, which is naturally the most popular. Xiang opera originated from Yiyang Opera in the Ming Dynasty, and later absorbed tunes such as Kunqu Opera and Pihuang Opera. He sang in the rhyme of Zhongzhou, used elegant dictionaries and sang mellow songs, and was more favored by intellectuals.
At that time, my mother worked as a handyman in the "Silver Star Grand Theatre", and the children could "watch white plays". When I was a child, going to the theatre naturally became a common occurrence. Xiang opera, especially his high-pitched voice, is my favorite.
At that time, the layout of the theater was roughly as follows: more than 40 rows of back benches near the stage, with partitions for cups and fruits on the back, and the last few rows were towering long wooden benches that anyone could sit on. The daily routine is as follows: First, "Knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock Then put on a short play or two and wait for the audience while performing. At this time, most of the people who have already entered the scene are opera fans; After the performance of the opera, all the audience arrived, and then the whole play was staged.
When I was in the fourth grade, my family moved near the theater, and I had the opportunity to go to the theater almost every night. Often from the beginning of the stage, I enter early and occupy the high position in the back row. When the passbook drama is not pulled out, I always see "digging pillars".
At that time, it was mainly Dongting Hunan Opera Troupe, the predecessor of Hunan Hunan Opera Troupe. Many famous xiang opera actors, such as Xu, Yang, Peng Linong and Yu Fuxing, often perform in the Silver Star Theatre.
I went through three stages of watching drama.
At first, like Lu Xun when he was a child, he liked martial arts dramas and ghost films best, and he didn't blink at the Monkey King's somersaults and the ever-flowing Jinshan of White Snake. In particular, the "electro-optic scenery" lights up. In the smoke of thunder and lightning, huge white snakes fly, their mouths spit out white smoke, and their golden eyes fly in the air ... My heart can be described as "ecstasy".
Gradually, I began to like the tortuous plots, such as Romance of the Gods, Liu Yichuan, Double Cases (later The Story of Chasing Fish), Xue Gang's Anti-Tang Dynasty, Pipa Story and so on. I have watched the whole play countless times, which can be said to be endless.
Finally, I began to appreciate the writers and vocals of the Zhezi Opera. For example, Guan Gong's stirring aria in "Going to the Meeting with a Single Sword" said: "The great river east goes to waves, and the west wind urges the boat. I just left Phoenix Que, Kowloon, and came to Tiger and Wolf Cave in Zhang Qian early. The gentleman is fierce, and this knife will look like a village club! " Another example is Zhang Guangcai's desolate aria in Sweeping Pine: "The ancient castle peak is old, and many people are ruined. Who will sweep the weeds in the lonely grave, and the paper money will be blown by the evil wind in the neighboring grave. " The elegant words full of lingering fragrance, the high and desolate singing, let me ponder over and over again, which is unforgettable so far.
Einstein said, "Without early music education, I would have accomplished nothing." It can be said that watching xiang opera was my early music education, which influenced my later aesthetic taste of advocating mellow elegance and also exercised my sensitive hearing ability. In addition, the profound experience of the close relationship between the melody of drama music and singing white tones laid a solid foundation for my later study of phonetics and the musicality of poetry.
The essence of Han classical music is all concentrated in opera music, which takes a long time to appreciate. Students' time is the best time to lay the aesthetic taste of music. Our students' homework is not heavy, so they naturally have the opportunity to be gradually influenced by classical drama. Modern people, however, have been slaves to heavy textbook education since primary school, and even watching TV for a while will be controlled by their parents. It is inevitable that fewer and fewer people like classical drama. Later, I often thought that, with Lu Xun's artistic appreciation level, if he had the convenience and experience of watching plays like me since he was a child, his evaluation of China's plays must be another kind of vision.
Second, I met Mo Yingfeng.
1955, I am in junior high school. At that time, I lived in the "Grand Pier" north of Zijiang, but my school was in the "Taohualun" in the south of the Yangtze River, more than ten miles away, separated by a river.
Because my family is poor, I can only go to school. Every day before dawn, my mother would wake me up for breakfast and take my lunch box to school. First, take the five-mile road to the bus lane on the long street paved with gravel, take the "Yidu" to cross the river but not the river, and then take the six or seven-mile road to the school along the bus lane paved with gravel.
Every morning at six o'clock sharp, a melodious instrumental music rings on the radio, accompanying me on the road. Occasionally, one day, this piece of music ends, and I am anxious to run all the way so as not to be late. I studied for a year, and I listened to this song for a whole year. Of course, I memorized the song, but I never thought about the name of the song and what instrument I used.
One day, in the sixth class, it is time for extracurricular activities. Suddenly, I heard a tune that I was familiar with coming from downstairs. I looked down, and it was a Hu Qin. The player was a black and thin boy in Grade Three. I was both surprised and envious: such wonderful music was actually played by a Huqin, so I began to have the idea of learning to play Huqin (I didn't know it was called "Erhu" at that time). Suddenly I had the idea of learning erhu, but at that time my family was too poor to afford erhu.
Later, I learned that the dark-skinned boy was called "Mo Yingfeng", the winner of the first Mao Dun Literature Award a few years later and the author of General Yin. The tune I am familiar with is Liu Tianhua's erhu famous song Good Night, but it is just a violin ensemble on the radio.
In the second day of junior high school, my father went home to do a little hat business, and my mother transferred from the theater to the hotel. The family situation improved slightly and began to study on campus. At this time, Mo Yingfeng has graduated from junior high school and entered Hunan Art School, becoming the idol of several cool musicians. I want to learn erhu again.
When I got home, I told my father that he was very supportive and said, "It doesn't matter if I didn't learn math and physics well. You can make up lessons when you grow up; " Musicology is not good, and you can't make it up when you grow up. However, Peking Opera is the national treasure of China. If you want to learn Huqin, you must learn Jinghu. "My dad immediately bought me a pair of Jinghu and an introduction to Jinghu.
When writing this memoir, my sister asked me in QQ: "Good! This is very vivid. Did you make up dad's words? " I'm serious. Dad said it. It's intact! My sister said, "What a surprise! A sigh! " He also said: "I remember Tunxi has a lot of Beijing opera records, and my uncle also likes Beijing opera." We often go to see Beijing Opera! " "At that time, my father's education for us was different, which I will talk about later.
From then on, every time after class, I began to play "Haloxylon, Haloxylon" in a shrill voice, and I enjoyed it. Looking back now, I really appreciate my classmates. Every day after class, they listen to my harsh noise. They must have suffered enough, and no one has ever frowned ... Oh, my dearest classmates, I miss you!
After pulling for a while, I slowly pulled the original Huang Er into the door. With the cultivation of listening to Chinese opera as a child, I also know that I always like to play a song instead of Beijing opera. Compared with Mo Yingfeng's wonderful erhu performance, what is this?
I made up my mind to learn erhu and play it as well as Mo Yingfeng!
