According to the Chinese website, Bai Juyi was brilliant since he was a child. He began to write poetry at the age of five or six, and at the age of nine he knew how to distinguish the rhyme of poetry. At the age of fifteen or sixteen, Gu Kuang, a senior poet, was highly respected and wrote 3,840 poems in his life.

Among them, Bai Juyi satirized Qin Zhong's poems 10, and there were 50 new Yuefu poems, while Li Bai only had 900 poems and Du Fu only had 1400 poems. There are also hundreds of poems left by Li Shangyin, Du Mu and Wang Wei, and the number of Bai Juyi far exceeds that of other poets in the Tang Dynasty.
