Tang-Wang Bo
by this wall that surrounds the three Qin districts, through a mist that makes five rivers one.
we bid each other a sad farewell, we two officials going opposite ways.
and yet, while China holds our friendship, and heaven remains our neighbourhood.
inaction is in the wrong way, and children * * * touch the towel.
Translated poem:
The land of the Three Qin Dynasties in ancient times arched and protected the imperial palace of Chang 'an city wall.
The wind and smoke are rolling, but I can't see Wujin of Minjiang River in Shuzhou.
when I shake hands with you to say goodbye, I feel soulful to each other;
you and I are both people who are far away from home and go out to be officials.
As long as I have you in the four seas, my friend, my friend,
No matter how far apart I am, I feel like being together.
Please don't cry sadly on the parting road;
Like affectionate young men and women, they shed tears on each other's clothes.
Comment:
This poem is a farewell masterpiece. Poetic consolation: don't be sad when you leave. The first sentence is strictly opposite, and the third and fourth sentences are inherited by scattered adjustment, and the reality is turned into emptiness, and the literary situation is ups and downs. The triple "and yet, while China holds our friendship, and heaven remains our neighbourhood", with its towering peaks, highly summarizes the scene of "profound friendship, mountains and rivers are hard to resist". The great words are self-made, passed down through the ages and are well-known. The theme of "sending" is pointed out at the end of the couplet. The opening and closing of the whole poem is frustrated, the pulse is circulating, and the artistic conception is broad-minded. Wash away the sadness in the ancient farewell poems, and the tone is bright and clear, fresh and lofty, and it is a unique stone tablet.
on a Gate-Tower at Youzhou
Tang Chen Ziang
where, before me, are the ages that have gone?,
and where, behind me, are the coming generations?.
I think of heaven and earth, without limit, without end,
and I am all alone and my tears fall down.
Translation
There is no sage king before, and no wise Lord after. Thinking of the boundless universe, I shed tears sadly.
About the author: Chen Ziang (661-72) is Bo Yu. Little Ren Xia. His poetry is a pioneer of poetry innovation in the Tang Dynasty, which highlights the style of Han and Wei dynasties, emphasizes prosperity and rejection of softness. There's Chen Ziang.
Note: Youzhoutai, also known as Yantai, is a Huang Jintai built by Yan Zhaowang to attract talents, so it is located in Daxing County, Beijing. Youyou: Endless meaning. Sorrow: A sad look. Snuff: tears.
Appreciation In 696 AD, the Khitan captured Yingzhou, and Chen Ziang was ordered to go out to war. The general with troops was a straw bag and suffered several defeats in succession. Chen Ziang made many suggestions, but they were not adopted. Seeing that the good plan of serving the country could not be realized. One day, he boarded Youzhou Taiwan, thinking of Yan Zhaowang, who was widely recruited in the Warring States Period, and was so indignant that he wrote this song "on a Gate-Tower at Youzhou". The poet felt deeply that life was short and the universe was infinite, and he shed tears unconsciously. This is a cry that the poet can't display if he holds the country for the people. After careful reading, the tragic and desolate spirit arises spontaneously, while the uneven syntax and the inflectional syllables add artistic appeal.
