Brief introduction of John Galsworthy.

John Galsworthy was born in a wealthy middle-class family in London. My father is a lawyer in London and runs several companies. John Galsworthy graduated from the Law Department of Oxford University and was qualified as a lawyer at 1890.

From 189 1 to 1893, he traveled in Europe, got to know Joseph Conrad and became best friends.

1932, John Galsworthy won the Nobel Prize in Literature, "because of the excellent art he described, it reached its peak in the Forsyte family". John Galsworthy started writing in 1895, and studied under Russian and French realists.

His works published in 1897 did not attract people's attention until the publication of the island Pharisees (1904).

1906 published the novel A Man with an Industry and the first play The Silver Box, which brought the author a wide reputation and established his position in John Galsworthy's literary world.

John Galsworthy is a prolific writer. He wrote 17 novels, 26 plays and 12 collections of short stories, essays, poems and letters in his life. Before his death, he was awarded honorary degrees by many American universities and served as the chairman of the International Pen Club. 1929 won the medal of honor. He is regarded as an outstanding successor to the realistic tradition of English literature, and is also known as the three outstanding realistic writers in Britain in the 20 th century with Wells and Bennett. His novels do not use grotesque exaggeration, but reveal the author's praise and criticism in real descriptions. He pays attention to shaping typical characters, his writing is natural and smooth, and his stories are ups and downs.
