1. Draw the first branch of the mind map at the point 1 in the upper right corner of the center. The red circle is shown below.
2. Decide the branching direction of mind map according to the branching amount. Just draw the numbers of the four branches clockwise, and then mark them with serial numbers.
3. After drawing the main branch, if there are any subdivided branches, continue to grow the subdivided branches along the main branch and mark the serial numbers in sequence. The red circle is shown below.
4. The subdivision sequence is from top to bottom, and the text is written from left to right. The arrow direction in the figure below is the writing order and the direction of text labels.
Mind mapping is a tool to show the thinking process graphically. It is used to organize and express ideas, viewpoints, concepts and relationships. Mind mapping usually starts from the central theme and expands in a radial or branched way, linking related ideas and concepts.
The following are the general steps to create a mind map:
Determine the central theme: The central theme of mind mapping is the core concept or problem you want to expand. Write in the center of paper or electronic canvas.
Add Branch: Starting from the central theme, add sub-topics or key concepts related to the theme along radial or branch paths. Each branch should have enough space for you to add relevant information.
Expand Branch: For each sub-topic, further expand related sub-concepts or details. You can use smaller branches or add text or icons directly to the corresponding branches.
Connect branches: Use lines or arrows to connect related branches to show their relationship or logical connection. This helps to show the connections and levels between the parts of the mind map.
Add keywords or icons: Add short keywords, phrases or icons for each branch and sub-topic to summarize its meaning and content. This helps to browse and understand mind maps quickly.
Adjustment and improvement: adjust and rearrange branches and keywords as needed to make the mind map clearer, orderly and easy to understand. You can use different colors, font sizes or graphic styles to emphasize important parts.
Mind mapping can be created by paper and pencil drawing, drawing software or online mind mapping tools. No matter what method you use, the goal of mind mapping is to help you better organize your thinking, discover the relationship in your thinking, improve your thinking efficiency, and make complex information easier to understand and remember.
