(1788-1824) was born on January 22, 1788, in a dilapidated aristocratic family in England. Born in London and raised in Scotland. At the age of 10, he inherited the title of Lord Byron. While studying at Cambridge University, he published a collection of poems, Moments of Leisure (1807). Faced with the siege of some critics, he responded with a long poem "English Poet and Scottish Critic" (1809). This long poem satirized the authority of the literary world, criticized the poets of the Lakeside School, and at the same time emphasized the social content of literature and the social responsibility of poets, which had a great influence. As an adult, he coincided with the rise of democratic national revolutions in European countries. He opposed autocratic oppression and supported the democratic ideas of people's revolution. At the age of 20, he traveled abroad and visited many countries. Returned to China in 1811. This trip opened his eyes to the heroic scene of the Spanish people fighting against Napoleon's invading army and the painful life of the Greek people under Turkish slavery. During Byron's travels in Europe, the most important achievement was the completion of the first and second chapters of the long poem "The Travels of Childe Harold" (the third and fourth chapters were completed in 1816 respectively. and 1818).
