Xin Qiji is a representative figure of the bold school. His poems are generally bold and full of patriotic feelings, but he also feels disappointed that his talents are not recognized. This has a lot to do with the era in which he lived. The Song Dynasty was poor and weak, and was constantly troubled by the Jin and Liao Dynasties. The author wanted to go to the battlefield to serve the country (and he did so), but later on, he either failed to recognize his talents or suffered early gray hair. Therefore, his poems sound more desolate and sad, but they are still majestic. Representative works such as "Zhen Zi - Watching a Sword while Drunk by the Light" and "Yong Yu Le - Nostalgia for the Past in Beigu Pavilion, Jingkou" all express his patriotic feelings and the loss of not being able to recognize his talents.
