Ma Guangzu, a famous official in the Southern Song Dynasty, was named after Fan Zhongyan and Wang Anshi in the Song Dynasty. His name is Hua Fu and his name is Yu Zhai. He was posthumously named Zhuang Min from Jinhua County.
Ma Guangzu was born in Mazhai Town, Dongyang, Zhejiang during the Qingyuan period of the Southern Song Dynasty. In the second year of Baoqing's reign, he tried to become an official in Nangong. Ma Guangzu was appointed as a scholar and was the chief scholar of Xinyu. Later, there were bachelors from Yuqian County, Chuzhou, Zhenjiang, Longxing Prefecture, Taiping Prefecture, Lin'an Prefecture, Jiankang Prefecture, Jiangling Prefecture, Hubu Shangshu, Anfu in the west of Zhejiang, Anfu in the east of Jiangdong, and Baozhangge. , Mingdian Bachelor, Senior Chentang Bachelor, etc.
When he was the magistrate and official of Jiankang Prefecture, he stayed at home and controlled the country. He spent 200,000 yuan to support the army and love the people, reduce taxes, and at the same time ordered that public funds be used to support the elderly, the sick, and the disabled. Everyone in Jiankang Mansion praised him.
In addition, for soldiers in the army who have never taken marriage leave, the money is given to help them deal with major life events. Later, schools were built, education was emphasized, and talents were recruited. Under his operation, all subordinate bureaucrats and subordinates were fully staffed, even many with few talents and great abilities, which greatly promoted the governance and development of Jiankang government.
In the fifth year, Jiankang Prefecture was hit by a heavy snowstorm, and hungry people were everywhere. In addition to effective disaster relief measures, he also donated 300,000 yuan from his own pocket to help the military and civilians. Every achievement was outstanding, so after he left Jiankang Mansion, Jiankang soldiers and civilians were still grateful for his kindness.
After leaving Jiankang Mansion, Ma Guangzu was transferred to Jinghu Mansion to get to know Jiangling Mansion. However, the people of Jiankang Mansion still missed the former magistrate very much, so they requested Ma Guangzu to be appointed as the magistrate of Jiankang. The noise was so loud that even Song Lizong knew about it. Later, Emperor Lizong of the Song Dynasty awarded Ma Guangzu the title of bachelor of Zizhengtang, admiral of Yanjiang, and admiral of Jiangdong, and made him the prefect of health.
After Mazu came to power, she continued to implement her previous benevolent policies. He cut taxes, built schools, and allowed people to recuperate. Thanks to Ma Guangzu's efforts, health gradually recovered, people worked with peace of mind, and the economy also developed to a certain extent.
Due to the outstanding achievements in Jiankang Mansion, Ma Guangzu soon became a bachelor and the commander-in-chief of Huaixi, and was called to work. He was promoted to be in charge of family finances, and he also knew Lin'an Prefecture and Anfu in western Zhejiang.
When I first took office, there was a famine, but Rong was hoarding food and had no intention of helping the victims. After Mazu heard about it, she went to visit him three times a day and finally met Wang_. He asked the king why he did not help the victims but instead hoarded food.
Fu refused because there was no extra food at home. But Ma Guangzu came prepared, holding the documents in his arms and telling him one by one that there was a certain amount of grain in a certain warehouse. Wang Rong was speechless and finally had to open the warehouse to put food. Because Ma Guangzu was an upright man, not afraid of powerful people, and dared to plead for the people, many victims survived this year.
After leaving Zhejiang, Ma Guangzu joined the Tongzhi Privy Council and served successively as Fuzhou Zhouzhi and Fujian Anfu. Later, it was built along the Yangtze River. Jiangdong Anfu made it known to Jiankang Prefecture. Guangzu served as the prefect of health care three times and served for twelve years, leaving a great reputation in health care.
In the third year of Xianchun, Ma Guangzu paid homage to participate in political affairs. In the fifth year, he entered the Tang Dynasty and participated in politics. Later, he served as an official with Dr. Jin Ziguang. He resigned and died shortly after returning home. The imperial court posthumously awarded Zhuang Min the title of nobility.
Ma Guangzu was a famous figure in the Song Dynasty, even as famous as Wang Anshi and others, but little was known about him later. In addition, many people may not know that he left many poems.
