He was born in Yongxing, Yuezhou (now Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang). In his early years, he moved to Yinshan Yuezhou (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). When I was young, I was famous for being good at writing poems. During the period of Wu Zetian, he was a scholar and a scholar. He is the first recorded scholar in Zhejiang history. /kloc-studied abroad at the age of 0/5, became an official at the age of 35, experienced more than 50 years of ups and downs in officialdom, and returned to his hometown at the age of 86.
Because he lived in the heyday of the early Tang Dynasty, his official career was smooth, broad-minded and unrestrained, so there was no cynical sigh and sad life experience in his poems. Even if occasionally disappointed, the tone is optimistic and open-minded, and the style is graceful, fresh and natural. In particular, "Liu Yong" and "My Homecoming Book" were well received.
Back to Hometown is well known to all women and children. On the one hand, it is easy to understand. On the other hand, it contains complex emotions and can arouse people's spirit. Although the hometown book is short, it is very distinctive and worth savoring. Linguistically, it is unpretentious. Natural and fluent, easy to understand. Emotionally, the poet originates from life, natural sincere feelings from the heart and profound artistic conception.
In writing techniques, there is a way of asking questions without answering them, which leads to infinite reverie. Artistic skills, the use of contrast. "Young people leave home, old people return" and "the local accent has not changed." Here, two sets of contrasting sentences vividly depict the poet's setting foot in his hometown, revisiting the familiar and cordial local accent, mixed with the complex feelings of sadness and joy.
One group is age comparison, "leaving home when young" and "going back when old". When he left home in his teens, Zhang Zhi was full of vigor and vitality, with lofty ideals and ambitions. Now, after more than 50 years of ups and downs in the officialdom, at the age of 86, he ("the boss") has returned to his hometown after a long absence, and his heart is mixed, and I don't know where to start.
Through this age contrast, the poet highlights the relationship between his long-term wandering away from home and the intensity of homesickness. The longer he stays outside, the stronger his homesickness will be.
The other group is the contrast of voice, appearance and smile. "The local accent has not changed" and "the hair on the sideburns has declined." We know that once a person's language habits are formed, it is difficult to change even after years of tempering. Therefore, "the local accent has not changed" is a brand left by hometown on poets that can never be erased. "The hair on his temples is failing." In his twilight years, he finally returned to his hometown that he missed so much, so he felt lucky.
This contrast is conducive to the expression of the poet's passion. Even if the appearance changes, the local accent remains the same. At this time, he was mixed with sorrow and joy, mixed feelings and excitement.
The last two sentences ended with a question and answer, "Where do children come from?" Although this is only a weak question, it sounds like a heavy blow. A child's "smile" aroused the poet's "sadness" that he felt deeply hurt. Things have changed, and times have changed. The poet's infinite feelings are all in this "smile" and "sadness", but the meaning of the poem is endless.
