Some people say that if you don't go out for a walk, you will feel that this is the whole world. I like walking. During a holiday, I came to Nantang Ancient Town in Ningbo.
When I first arrived at the ancient town of Nantang, I was greeted by an antique old building with four characters of Nantang Old Street written on the front and the old saying of Yongshui written on the back. The archway hangs on the promenade. Whenever it rains, the rain drops on the eaves, revealing a corner of the ancient archway.
Walking on the old street of Nantang, you can see a bridge in the distance, quietly located on the Nantang River. The water in the river is crystal clear, reflecting its figure. The slate on the bridge is still slightly wet, with dark green moss on it. This bridge and Nantang River look like a fresh and elegant ink painting from a distance. It is said that this bridge has been here for a long time, and the local grandfather said it was built when grandpa's grandfather.
Walking on the bridge in Nantang, the breeze is blowing slowly. I listened to the gurgling water under the bridge and thought about the time I had passed, and my heart suddenly calmed down.
In the old street, there is an alley, which is slightly different from the rain alley written by Dai Wangshu. It seems to be deeper and narrower, and the alleys are criss-crossing. Being new here will make you get lost. The path paved with green slate, like a trace of history, is accompanied by the story of time and also contains the joys and sorrows of life.
As night falls, the faint yellow nightlight lights up in the ancient town, just like a night pearl embedded in the deep alley of the old street. The dim light adds a sense of tranquility and serenity to the ancient town.
Walking in the ancient street of Nantang, there are all kinds of antique buildings on both sides of the path. Both old and new stores are beautifully decorated, revealing the lively atmosphere of the festival. The shops here sell local snacks in Ningbo, and there are long queues in front of each snack bar.
Ninghai Wufengtang, Yuyao Yellow Croaker Noodle Shop, Cicheng Four Seasons Sweet Rice Cake Shop, Cixi Crispy Sugar Shop, Fenghua Beef Noodle Shop, Dongqian Lake Sixteen-grid Wonton Shop and Yinzhou Quanfengji all exude attractive fragrance, attracting tourists' forefinger to move. Every piece of rice cake, crispy bean candy and oil there is the taste of old Ningbo.
There are also folk customs exhibitions, old Ningbo handicrafts exhibitions and folk cultural exchanges in the alley. Everything I saw along the way was the epitome of Ningbo's affluent life.
There are not many pedestrians in the ancient town. There are three or two people hanging out and one person hanging out. I saw their faces more calm and peaceful. Walking in Nantang, a bustling but actually quiet ancient town, there is always a kind of tranquility and ease behind the noise, which can make me forget all the fatigue and pressure.
Walking in Nantang, staying at Nantang Bridge, the morning dew is stained with rain and ink, enjoying a rare quiet time. Sometimes, I think, everyone needs such a place to let your heart settle in silence. Nantang, for me, is such a place!
