Kunming has a pleasant climate, with no heat in summer and no cold in winter, which has long attracted people's attention. Guo in Jin Dynasty, Li Yuanyang and Feng in Ming Dynasty all recorded and described the characteristics of Kunming's "spring" in their poems, but they did not directly call Kunming "spring city". There is a saying in Tang poetry that "Spring City is flying all over the sky", but the "Spring City" in this poem refers to Chang 'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty in spring, and has nothing to do with Kunming. So, who first called Kunming "Spring City"? We say that if Kunming is to be called "Spring City" and recognized by the world, it must first be widely heard and have an in-depth experience and understanding of the scenery of China, especially Yunnan. Secondly, it is necessary to have high attainments in Central Plains culture and Yunnan national culture, with rich academic achievements and high prestige, and the poems and songs created are widely circulated. Famous scholars in Ming Dynasty spread Central Plains culture in Yunnan. In the poems written by Yang An, a scholar and poet, Kunming is directly called "Spring City". After a cursory look, there are "three wonders in spring": "The scenery in spring city is close to the Lantern Festival, and the willow curtain covers the flower bridge ..."; The poem "Looking at Spring" is about the scenery and customs of Kunming before the Lantern Festival. This is because, in another poem of Spring Hope, there is a sentence "I miss the hometown of Liangzhou". Liangzhou, an ancient place in Kunming, missed my hometown when I heard Liangzhou music, and I knew it was written in central Yunnan. Therefore, the "Spring City" in the sentence "Spring City scenery is close to Yuanxiao" refers to Kunming. Xi was written by Sheng An when he lived in Gaocheng, Kunming in his later years. Luo, the satrap of the Song and Ming Dynasties, went to Gaocheng, where Sheng 'an is located. Geographically, Kunming is the only place from Songming County to Gaoming, so the "Spring City" in the sentence "Hou Jun takes wine to the Spring City" refers to Kunming. The writing time of this poem is about 1547 to 1552. It can be said that calling Kunming "Spring City" directly was put forward by Sheng 'an more than 450 years ago, and Sheng 'an was the first person to call Kunming "Spring City".
Sheng 'an was a great poet and scholar in Ming Dynasty. With his own experience, knowledge and talent, he described and praised the beautiful and colorful scenery of many places in Yunnan and Kunming in his works, which made the nickname "Spring City" widely circulated with his poems and accepted by the world. It should be natural.
