Liu Zongyuan (773-819 AD), born in Hedong, Han nationality, was one of the eight famous writers in Tang and Song Dynasties. Han Yu (768—December 25th, 824) was born in Heyang, Henan Province (now mengzhou city, Henan Province), Han nationality, and lived in Changli, Hebei Province. In his later years, he served as assistant minister of the official department, also known as the Korean official department. In the fourth year of Changqing (824), Han Yu died of illness, and he was given the book of rites in posthumous title, so he was called "Han Wengong".
