On the Metric Problems of Seven-character Rhymes in Daming Palace in the Early Years of Jiazhi

There is no doubt about the last two couplets between Jia Zhi's original work and Wang Wei's poems. Perhaps Wang Wei is out of the need of singing, and Jia Zhi is the original author, which should be an oversight or even a mistake. It is not difficult to save, in fact, the sentences of the two couplets all use the special sentence pattern of flat and flat. The third word of the neckline is usually "body", which is flat and awkward, but it does not exist.

There are probably two reasons why this poem is sung in harmony. First of all, because of Jia Zhi's special position at that time, he was very famous in the literary world and made friends with Du Fu and others. At the same time, living in the official residence, he is a close minister of the son of heaven and is loved by him. Therefore, he has the conditions to deal with everything. Second, at that time, the Anshi Rebellion had just been settled, and many poets returned to Chang 'an after the war, with great expectations for the reconstruction and rejuvenation of the country. So they were all infected by Jia Zhi's poems and sang in unison. Of course, there may be some other factors, probably not the above two points.

Harmony is the tradition of China's poetry, which has always been divided into harmony and rhyme. Harmony is to write the same topic, and the theme of everyone's poems is similar. Harmony means using the same rhyme, but it is not necessarily what to write. It is generally believed that the appearance of harmony rhyme is later than the appearance of harmony meaning, and it may be that it gradually became popular after Bai Yuan sang harmony. And rhyme itself has a development process. At first, * * * only used one rhyme word, and later it developed to use homonyms, or even use the same case completely. As far as this group of works is concerned, it is not harmonious with meaning.
