This is a seven-character quatrain, the content is: parents are the most real in the world, tears and blood are dissolved in children. Exhausted, and finally a child. The poor inherit the wind.
In other words, the only true feelings in this world are the deepest feelings of parents for their children, and parents have worked hard to raise their children. Parents all over the world worry about their children every day. It's a pity that parents all over the world love their children selflessly.
This poem originated from the fact that after Empress Dowager Cixi entered the palace, she rarely had the opportunity to return to her family. Until she became the empress dowager, she could only find reasons to ask them to go to the palace to catch up with their families, but she still couldn't go back at will.
When the biological mother was 60 years old, Empress Dowager Cixi still couldn't go back. In order to express her gratitude to her mother, she presented a poem "To My Parents" and wrote it in her own hand for people to take back.
The first three sentences of Poem for Parents are not wonderful, but the fourth sentence is widely circulated, expressing parents' selfless love for their children. Nowadays, no one knows the phrase "if you are poor, you will change your mind", but few people know that it is a poem written by Empress Dowager Cixi, and no one would have thought that she has always been ruthless and has an endless desire for power, and she still has such a gentle and affectionate side.
