Interpretation of the First Sentence of Birds

Stray birds of summer come to my window to sing and fly away. And yellow leaves of autumn, which have no songs, flutter and fall there with a sign.

Interpretation: From its own point of view, the bird thinks that fish like or should fly in the sky as much as itself, so it thinks that holding the fish in the air is a kind of charity and is helping the fish. However, this blind kindness helped the bird.

In fact, the deeper meaning is: yearning for freedom and getting rid of bondage. Eulogize freedom, only freedom can be happy, otherwise, the imprisoned life will not be happy and beautiful.

Birds is one of Tagore's representative works, which has great influence. Translated into many languages all over the world, it is one of Tagore's earliest works translated into Chinese, including more than 300 beautiful poems. These poems describe grass, fireflies, fallen leaves, birds, mountains and rivers. A short poem, like the sun with water drops falling on the leaves, is like a few white clouds flying in the sky. Everything is so fresh and bright, but its charm is very strong and intriguing.
