I can wash the dishes by myself at the age of 10, and cook and wash clothes by myself at the age of 11. When I was a child, in order to buy me clothes and food, my grandfather and grandmother often went to the mountains to find wild products and sell them to make money to change my clothes, but they themselves were not willing to spend a penny.

Later, the principal explained to us: The Stay Together Plan is a public welfare project initiated by the Western China Talent Development Foundation to care for left-behind children. It is a caring activity that teachers and students of our school voluntarily participate in. The theme of the project carried out by our school is painting. We are very happy and actively signed up to participate in this activity.
Once, in the art room, the teacher gave each of us many painting tools such as brushes and colored paper, as well as a bottle of paint. We were so happy that we started painting quickly. Let’s try these materials that none of us have seen before. Beautiful paintings were created one after another with our little hands. Those beautiful paintings were selected by the school and put on the school display board.
The paintings are so beautiful, the birds are spreading their wings and the flowers are competing for beauty. Finally, the teacher also helped us take photos with our works, which made us feel happy.
This activity brought me a lot of happiness and made me fall in love with painting. I will practice painting well in the days to come. When my parents come back, I will make them proud of me. !

The Stay Together Plan is a public welfare project initiated by the Western China Talent Development Foundation and supported by donations from the China Development Bank and China Tobacco Corporation. It aims to subsidize and support primary school principals and left-behind teachers to voluntarily and independently design and carry out special care activities for left-behind children in their schools.
There is such a vulnerable group in China called "rural left-behind children". Their parents go to work in other places to make a living, but they stay in the village and spend very little time with their parents. According to a survey by the All-China Women's Federation, there are more than 61 million rural left-behind children across the country, accounting for 38% of rural children and 22% of the country's children.
Due to the lack of family affection, many of them have hidden mental health risks; due to being raised across generations, they are more left to their own devices; because there is no one to tutor them in their studies, their academic performance is generally low; due to Without anyone to take care of them after school, they are a high-risk group for crime and victimization.
The problem of left-behind children is an unavoidable social problem in the process of urbanization in China and requires the joint attention and solution of the whole society. In view of the main problems of left-behind children in rural areas, such as "no one to tutor them in their studies, no one to take care of them in life, and no one to tell their inner thoughts", we planned and implemented the "Standing Together Plan" public welfare project, allowing left-behind teachers to care for left-behind children, and strive to improve the quality of left-behind children in rural areas.
