How many heroes have gathered in Jiankang City, which is invincible in the southeast and full of dragons and tigers? "Ancient Capital of Six Dynasties" and "Metropolis of Ten Dynasties" have left countless historical sites for this city.
In addition to walking countless times on Zhongshan Road, I wore a variety of situations in the Republic of China; The city, as well as countless temples, bear the Buddhist sound and Zen rhyme of the Southern and Northern Dynasties and disappear into the depths of time, drifting away; What's more, there is the Ming city wall, which is the first city wall in the world. It not only revolves around the golden powder resort in the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, but also revolves around the 276-year history of the Ming Dynasty. When the wheel of history rumbled over the glory of those who built the capital and founded the country, it still stood proudly, quietly enjoying the noise of people chasing fame and fortune in the passage of time.
So I decided to use my footsteps to have a close contact with this 600-year-old Wolong.
It was early spring and February, and the spring cold was not shallow. When I walked up the steps from Zhongshan Gate at the easternmost end of Zhongshan Road and landed on the city wall, the afternoon sunshine was just covered. The crowns of tall trees on both sides of the city wall are close at hand, and I can clearly see the sun dancing on the new leaves and the dead leaves dancing after winter.
Looking around, this section is straight and wide to the east and should reach the standard camp gate. I suddenly felt trapped in the encirclement, trapped in layers of historical packages, and listened carefully to the city wall. The echo of history echoed through the fog of years from far and near.
According to historical records, the Ming Nanjing City built by Zhu Yuanzhang in 28 years consists of four cities: Miyagi, Imperial City, Beijing and Waiguo. The so-called Nanjing Ming City Wall includes the quadruple city wall built in this period as a whole, and now it refers to the well-preserved Beijing (inner city) wall. It was built in 1366 and completed in 1385, with a total length of 35 kilometers. Up to now, there are still 25 kilometers of ruins, surpassing the wall of Paris in France and becoming the largest wall in the world.
In ancient times, metropolitan cities were all square or rectangular, which has become an old system. But this Ming city wall is the benefit of mountains and rivers and the empty space of rivers and lakes. According to the trend of Nanjing's mountain and river system, a high city has been built, forming a pattern of "fighting south and Beidou" from the inside out. The majestic posture of the Dragon Pan Shicheng Tiger also benefited from this.
Looking into the city, a wide road is full of traffic. There are many tall buildings along the road, which set off two rows of tall buttonwood trees as small as bonsai. In this way, old brands and new ones coexist, and prosperity and noise coexist.
Looking back outside the city, through the thin fog, the graceful curve of Purple Mountain can be faintly seen in the rustling of vegetation.
Walking slowly along the city wall, the feet are covered with blue bricks, the color is deep or light, and the walls on both sides are half a person's height. Weeds are extremely stubbornly squeezed between the walls, and some have already produced blue flowers the size of soybeans, swaying in the cool breeze in early spring. At that time, the owner of the city must have wandered on this wall. In front of them, this wall brick exudes historical dust, and only they witnessed that extraordinary era.
Bend down to see flowers and patronize big bricks. Sure enough, there are lettering on many blocks.
The Ming City Wall in Nanjing has a unique feature in the world: each brick has detailed characters with the origin of the brick-making place, ranging from one word, more than one symbol and mark, and more than 50 words. Therefore, the brick of Mingcheng itself has become a readable history.
During the construction of Nanjing City in Ming Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty entrusted officials at all levels in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to be "officials", responsible for firing and requisitioning building materials such as city bricks and recruiting civilian workers. The so-called "transfer officer" does not represent an official position, but refers to a temporary identity appointed by the court to undertake transfer affairs in the construction of the city wall. In order to ensure the quality of bricks, the imperial court formulated a very strict grading responsibility system, and the bricks were printed with time; Place names of local governments, states and counties; There are as many as 5 ~ 8 levels in charge, from officials of brick-making government, state and county to local commanders and leaders, to bricklayers and kilns. After the city bricks are fired, they will be transported to Nanjing by water along the Yangtze River. If the acceptance is unqualified, the relevant person in charge recorded in the inscription will be strictly investigated, and even punished and executed.
On the side of several big bricks, the number of words is more or less, the font is also yin and yang, and the seal script is different. The one with the most lettering, marked "Judge XXX", "Official XXX" and "Main Book XXX", should be the producer. I think, on the other side, there should be people who are responsible step by step, such as general A, first A, small A and even kiln workers.
I'll take a closer look when I'm saved. The handwriting of those fonts is different, but they are neat and clear, which shows the seriousness of the sculptor. Yes, every brick is related to the firmness of the city wall, the safety of the city and the life of the family. Behind every name on this brick is actually a contract of life and death. This sounds harsh, but if you think about it carefully, isn't it true that "every man is responsible for the rise and fall of the world" If everyone does their job, are you still worried that this Jiangshan city will never be settled?
However, such beauty is often just a wish. Many times, people will breed paralysis and inertia in happiness, and even swell to lose self-restraint in power and do whatever they want. They may be complacent for a while, but eventually they will step into the abyss and go to destruction.
As the sun sets, this clump of wall grass looks particularly vigorous. Zhu Yuanzhang, the great ancestor of the Ming Dynasty, must have climbed this wall everywhere. I wonder how many thoughts the towering Zhongshan and the raging river in the distance can evoke him. Now, touching this city wall, I can still feel its historical heat. Suddenly, an idea flashed through my mind: why can't the overlords riding on horseback avoid being overthrown once when they seize the vast world and build tall cities? Is it not that I lost my early vigilance and sense of responsibility, hiding in the golden hall of the deep palace and not observing the suffering of the whole world? From the day Zhu Yuanzhang built the city to the day Judy moved to Beijing, this new city has only a short mission of 52 years. It can be seen that high walls and deep valleys are necessary, but the wall of responsibility in your heart has collapsed, or you can't keep the country just by binding others with responsibility.
Great rivers are by no means natural barriers, and the Great Wall is not golden soup. Jiangshan is by no means a safe place to keep, during which the safety is all within Xiao Qiang. The politics is clear, the world is United, and the Wan Li Plain is armored. Who can break it?
Constantly thinking, I kept walking, my feet were as flat as rocks, the surrounding trees were swaying, admiring this masterpiece of manpower and the charm of nature, and soon I arrived at the Biaoying Gate. Go along the wall, go outside the wall, and then turn around.
Close to the city wall, look up and look hard. The city wall is becoming more and more magnificent. The white stone covered with blue bricks has been eroded by wind and rain for hundreds of years, but it is difficult to move its bones and muscles.
"This inscription is actually an open project quality responsibility book!" Someone said.
Yes, the Mu Feng Ming City Wall has stood for more than 600 years because it has the core of responsibility. The earliest and strictest "responsibility system" in the world made this city wall surpass its founder and achieved a world miracle.
Cross Crescent Lake Park and sit on a bench by the lake. Spring plums are in full bloom in the garden. The scenery is beautiful and pleasant, but some facilities around it have been destroyed. How long has this park been built? There is also daily maintenance. I also want to see and hear a lot of things that hurt people's lives because of poor quality. Isn't this kind of accident, big or small, all due to the lack of responsibility and management? "A levee of a thousand miles collapses in an ant nest", so do city walls and tall buildings, and so do nations and countries. If we want the Great Wall to last forever and build a corning society, we need to plant the seeds of responsibility in everyone's heart.
When I wrote this, it was the rainy season, and several heavy rains turned Nanjing into a Zeguo in Wang Yang. In the embarrassment of municipal engineering, this ancient city wall once again shows its extraordinary: near the emergency exit, a section commonly known as the dragon's neck, rainwater seeps into the wall of the Ming city wall with a long history and spews out through its drainage system, and Yinhua Road is quite spectacular. This peculiar "dragon spits water" landscape makes people understand again the ingenuity and intention of this wall-building, and once again realize that the 600-year toughness is precisely because of the strict management and clear responsibility of wall-building.
I didn't go to that precious Taicheng because I suddenly remembered that poem-in the Six Dynasties, the rain was falling, the grass was falling and the birds were singing. Ruthlessness is a willow in Taicheng, but it is still a smoke cage. This song by Wei Zhuang shows the ruthlessness of the historical years, and makes that section of the city wall cage with a decadent and desolate color.
The Six Dynasties were like dreams, with ups and downs from generation to generation. Apart from feelings, I think most people who die are based on the lack of sense of responsibility. If we can bind the responsibility with everyone's life and death like the strict responsibility system embodied in this city brick, and make everyone feel awe in everything, I believe that all the inheritance can be as permanent as this Beijing wall that has stood for more than 600 years.
