After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he served as a senator in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region, a member of the Cultural Committee of the district government, a vice president of the School of Literature and Art of North China United University, a member of the Cultural Committee of the People's Government of North China, the editor-in-chief of People's Literature, and the vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association.
