Old-style poetry: also known as "old-style poetry". China's ancient poetry genres, including ancient poetry, new poetry and modern poetry, mainly refer to five-character seven-character poems and five-character seven-character quatrains. Its name appeared as the counterpart of the new poetry produced by the May 4th New Literature Movement.
New Poetry: Also called "Modern Poetry". Compared with the old-style poems, it generally refers to the new-style poems produced after the May 4th New Literature Movement, including modern metrical poems, free-style poems and prose poems.
