There is also Jesus in Christianity. Although he is the son of God, there are still many people who carve statues for him and worship him. I think if Jesus sees such a person now, he must be the first to object, because people mistakenly focus on themselves and gradually forget what he said, so what is the point of Jesus preaching to us?
Before nirvana, Sakyamuni, who was also a Buddhist, told his disciples that it generally meant: Leave my Buddhist relics alone, what matters is what I said. It can be seen that Sakyamuni is also against idolatry. But all his disciples turned a deaf ear to his words.
Taoism is even more opposed to idolatry, and advocates "inaction" and "irrelevance of old age and death" between people.
Jesus, Buddha and Taoist Laozi are all recognized saints. I don't think being a saint will teach people to worship themselves! People may worship them more out of respect and etiquette; You can only say superstition when you worship them as gods!
