Whenever Cui Hao sees the wall of the frontier fortress, his poems are all about the lives of soldiers, so his poems can often be compared with Jiangyan and Bao Zhao. Later, Cui Hao traveled to Wuchang and boarded the Yellow Crane Tower. He was deeply touched by life, so he wrote a poem in the Yellow Crane Tower, which made Li Bai, who came to the Yellow Crane Tower later, sigh: There is a scenery in front of him. It is said that wherever Li Bai goes, he leaves poems there. When he saw this poem written by Cui Hao, he left without writing another poem.
Although Cui Hao's poems are well written, his conduct is somewhat unsatisfactory. He likes gambling and drinking very much. When choosing a wife, he looks at her appearance first, but if she is slightly dissatisfied, he will abandon her. In his later years, he devoted himself to writing poetry, getting worse every day, and finally fell ill in bed and died.
