The literary works of Paul Heyzer
As a novelist, poet and playwright, Paul Heyzer started writing in middle school. In the long years of more than half a century, his works are extremely rich, including 9 novels, 180 short stories, a large number of lyric poems and political poems, and nearly 70 plays. In addition, there are quite a few papers, memoirs, diaries and literary letters with Feng Tana, Keller and stoll. Not only that, Heyzer is also an outstanding translator with great achievements. He translated and published Spanish and French poems, Italian fairy tales, folk songs, comedies and novels, as well as a series of works by important foreign writers such as Machiavelli Oriyosto and Shakespeare, and his translations were well received. Finally, during the thirty-two years from 187 1 to 1903, the Treasures of German Short Stories, Foreign Short Stories and Newly Edited Treasures of German Short Stories were edited and published. The three sets of anthologies add up to 62 volumes, which can be said to be the representative works of world short stories before19th century.
