Qu yuan's patriotic elements

Memories of Qu Yuan on Dragon Boat Festival

It's Dragon Boat Festival again. Making zongzi, racing dragon boats and drinking yellow wine ... all parts of China celebrate this traditional festival in roughly the same way. But up to now, there are still different opinions about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival: Chu people commemorate Qu Yuan, Yue people commemorate Gou Jian, Wu people commemorate Wu Zixu and Cao E ... The most widely accepted is in memory of Qu Yuan.

In 278 BC, on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet who was exiled to the Miluo River, heard that Chu was captured, and he was so sad and angry that he threw himself into the Miluo River. The people along the coast led boats to rescue him and threw food to prevent fish and shrimp from hurting Qu Yuan. Since then, on this day every year, local people have to hold such activities to express their memory of him. Since then, rowing dragon boats and wrapping jiaozi has become the main content of the Dragon Boat Festival custom, which is gradually called the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival.

Qu Yuan, who is full of patriotism, truth-seeking idealism and suffering spirit, is a model that transcends time and space and embodies the spirit of the Chinese nation.

National spirit is the spiritual support for the survival and development of a nation. Without great spirit and noble character, a nation cannot stand on its own feet among the nations of the world. Qu Yuan always pays attention to the rise and fall of the country, while persistently pursuing the eternity, value and ideal of life. However, Qu Yuan's fate is a tragedy. If Qu Yuan, who is concerned about his country and people, lived today, saw that China is so powerful today, saw the people of China cheering for the Olympic Games, and saw the people of all ethnic groups in China united in earthquake relief, would Qu Yuan still have time to throw himself into the river?

How lucky we are today. As China people, we not only inherited Qu Yuan's glorious tradition of pursuing truth, but also shared the pain of losing loved ones with children in Sichuan. Today, we know how to cherish and love teachers, family and friends around us!

This year's Dragon Boat Festival is an unusual day for everyone in China. We have personally realized the significance of self-improvement and hard work. Today, we praise Qu Yuan's patriotic spirit and carry forward Qu Yuan's spirit, but we will not worry, because we believe that China will be stronger and more prosperous tomorrow!
