The hall is named after "Maxim's Generation". The preface hall is "as fragrant as ever", displaying a brief introduction of Lu You's life, a portrait of Lu You, a jade tablet and a handwriting tablet of Lu You. A plum garden was opened behind the hall, where plum blossoms loved by Lu You were widely planted. The main hall is "Wengfang Hall", which is a statue of Lu You.
These two temples display various versions of Lu You's poems and paintings. In the south of the main hall, an exhibition hall of cultural relics has been added to display the historical cultural relics of Chongzhou. On Fengqi Mountain in the northwest corner of Chongzhou outside the city, there is a Meihua Village, which echoes Luyou Ancestral Temple from a distance, and is called a holy place to leave flowers and fragrance. Lu You climbed the mountain from this cliff when he was sentenced to climb the ancient temple in Zhou Shu.
The beautiful scenery of plum blossom beside the broken bridge on the mountain road, which is lonely, open and fragrant in the evening wind and rain, has gained creative inspiration for his later work "Yongmei the soothsayer". Some experts have verified that the prototype of the artistic conception of "broken bridge outside the post" is next to Meihuazhai, where there are nearly a thousand acres of plum blossoms. When the flowers bloom, it presents the beautiful scenery of "ten miles of plum blossoms are fragrant with snow and thousands of trees are fragrant".
