Execution of the judgment.
Ming Yuan Chonghuan.
A lifetime of career is empty, and a lifetime of fame is a dream.
Don't try to be brave after death, loyal souls still keep Liaodong.
Introduction:
Imprisonment is a seven-character quatrain written by Yuan Chonghuan, a military strategist and poet in Ming Dynasty. The first two sentences of this poem were said before he died: I lamented that my career was unsuccessful, my fame was not because I was killed, and everything was over, expressing my deep regret that the battle for the gold career was abandoned halfway. The last two sentences say: first, there is no need to be brave, and second, his loyal soul is still guarding Liaodong. The whole poem is generous and tragic, with sincere feelings.
After Ming Taizu Zhu Youjian ascended the throne and was renamed Chongzhen, he appointed Yuan Chonghuan, who was excluded and retired from his hometown, as the Minister of War and the right deputy commander, and also as the military governor of Jilin, Liaoning and Tianjin. Seeing that Yuan Chonghuan could not be defeated, Huang Taiji turned against him, and by releasing the captured eunuch, he said that Yuan Chonghuan was secretly plotting against the latter.
"I will set up a room in the Qing dynasty, which means that I have a marriage with Huan and let the eunuch know that even if Yin goes. The man ran to see the emperor, and the emperor believed him. " . Zhu Youjian didn't listen to the courtiers' exhortation, nor did he listen to the imploring and crying of officials and people inside and outside the customs. In December of the second year of Chongzhen (1629), Yuan Chonghuan was arrested and put into prison. In August of the following year, he was accused of "rebellion" (biography of Yuan Chonghuan in Ming Dynasty).
This poem was shot by the author before the execution and recorded by the recorder who supervised the execution.
