On this day, the old hunter was eating roe deer meat at home. Suddenly, a goshawk flew to him and begged the old hunter, "Grandpa, please, I'm hungry. Give me some roe deer to eat! " The old man felt very sorry and gave half of the roe deer meat to the eagle. The next day, the old man was eating rabbit meat, and the eagle flew again, begging the old man to say, "Grandpa, I'm hungry again. Please give me some more rabbit meat. " The old man gave the eagle some rabbit meat. After eating, the eagle flew away gratefully. Seeing that the old hunter is about to finish eating, only half of the venison is left and the snow is still falling. The old man thought, keep this venison and eat it slowly. Just when he wanted to eat, the eagle flew again. The old man said, "This is all I have left. After eating, it will be gone. " Unexpectedly, the eagle pestered the old hunter and insisted on eating. " The old man walked step by step towards the stone wall with crutches and deep snow. The eagle is very happy. The old hunter asked, "Where is the wild boar?" Knowing that he had been cheated, the old man swore bitterly: You black-hearted beast, bite the hand that feeds you, I won't kill you. But he said, "well, let me take off my clothes and let you have a good meal." The eagle and other old people took off their clothes and immediately rushed to the old hunter. The old hunter suddenly raised his crutch. The eagle doesn't know that this crutch is a shovel. He only heard a loud bang and the eagle turned around and flew back. Unexpectedly, he hit a stone wall and couldn't move any more. Soon the eagle turned to stone, which is the famous "eagle crouching on the wall".
There is also a legend that this eagle is a demon eagle and is not afraid of the old hunter's shovel. When I was about to eat the old hunter, Guanyin Bodhisattva passed by and pointed with her hand, and the eagle suddenly stopped on the stone wall. The eagle begged the bodhisattva for mercy, and Guanyin said, "If you want to turn over a new leaf, just lie on the stone wall and listen to the scriptures. After 9999, you will be released to the west by Tibetans. " The eagle immediately turned into a boulder. Therefore, this stone is also called "Dapeng Listening Stone".
