The plot synopsis of Chapter 41

The novella "Forty-one" is a very excellent work, published in 1924. The heroine of the work, Malyutka, was born in a family of fishermen, and both her parents died. She is kind-hearted, full of fantasy, and is very interested in poetry. Her marksmanship was superb, and she was a rare marksman among the one hundred or so revolutionary troops commanded by Ye Fuxiukov. In a conflict, Yefu Xiukov led everyone to break out of the encirclement, but only twenty-three people survived. Malyutka was the only survivor among the female warriors. Later, they captured a White Army lieutenant in an operation, who was a confidant of Denikin. Because the lieutenant refused to reveal the secrets of the White Army to his death. Moreover, Yevxiukov felt that the lieutenant was a very valuable person, so he sent Malyutka and two soldiers who could swim to escort him from the sea to the headquarters. Unexpectedly, there was a strong wind on the road and the ship capsized. Malutka and the lieutenant fled to an inaccessible island. Unknowingly, Malyutka fell in love with the lieutenant. Mariutka, who was originally obsessed with the lieutenant's "blue eyes", fell in love with the lieutenant, but their views and positions were completely different, and they often quarreled. One day, a White Army ship accidentally sailed over. The lieutenant was overjoyed and planned to leave with the ship. At this moment, Malyutka raised his gun and shot the lieutenant, ending his life. The lieutenant became the forty-first White Party member that Malyutka killed. Then she stood in the sea and cried with her "blue eyes"...

It was changed into a Soviet classic film and was shot in 1928. The story in the movie took place during the Soviet Civil War. Malyutka, a sharpshooter of the Red Army, shot 40 enemies in one go, but the 41st bullet missed. The enemy was commanded by a young and handsome second lieutenant of the White Army. He surrendered to Malyutka. During the escort, the two were washed up by waves on an uninhabited island. The two faced each other day and night, and they fell in love with each other day and night. However, they often argued about political stances, and each wanted to influence the other in their own way. One day a sailboat sailed past the isolated island. When the lieutenant saw that it was the White Army's ship, he hurriedly rushed to meet the ship. Malutka shot her lover - the 41st enemy - to death with a gun when the call was ineffective.
