Who are Du Xiaoli referring to in the history of Tang poetry?

Who are the two little Du Li in the history of Tang poetry: Li Shangyin and Du Mu?

"Little Du Li" in Tang Dynasty refers to Li Shangyin and Du Mu. "Da Du Li" refers to Li Bai and Du Fu. By the late Tang Dynasty, Tang poetry had declined, and Li Shangyin and Du Mu added a bright page to it. Therefore, they are praised as "Little Du Li" by later generations, which shows their accomplishments and contributions in Tang poetry.

Li Shangyin, whose name is Yishan, whose name is Yuxi (xi) and Fan Nansheng, is a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty. He is good at poetry creation, and parallel prose has high literary value. He is one of the most outstanding poets in the late Tang Dynasty. He is also called "Xiao" and "Wen" with Du Mu. The reason why he is called "Wen Li" is because his poems are similar to Duan Hewen's poems of the same period, and all three are contemporary.

Many critics believe that he is second only to Du Fu, Li Bai and Wang Wei among the outstanding poets in the Tang Dynasty. As far as the uniqueness of poetic style is concerned, he is not inferior to any poet. However, there are relatively many allusions, which are obscure. Those who appreciate Li Shangyin's poems and those who criticize him are all aimed at his distinctive personal style.

Du Mu, a layman in Fan Chuan, is called Du. Du Mu advocated taking meaning as the main factor, qi as the supplement, and taking words and sentences as the defense. He has a correct understanding of the relationship between the content and form of his works.

And it can absorb and melt the strengths of predecessors and form its own special style. Influenced by Du Fu and Han Yu, Du Mu's ancient poems have a wide range of themes and strong brushwork. His modern poems are famous for their beautiful words and ups and downs.
