"Little Du Li" in Tang Dynasty refers to Li Shangyin and Du Mu. "Da Du Li" refers to Li Bai and Du Fu. By the late Tang Dynasty, Tang poetry had declined, and Li Shangyin and Du Mu added a bright page to it. Du Mu, a layman in Fan Chuan, is called Du. Du Mu advocated taking meaning as the main factor, qi as the supplement, and taking words and sentences as the defense. He has a correct understanding of the relationship between the content and form of his works.
And it can absorb and melt the strengths of predecessors and form its own special style. Influenced by Du Fu and Han Yu, Du Mu's ancient poems have a wide range of themes and strong brushwork. His modern poems are famous for their beautiful words and ups and downs.
