It is said that this poem "Su Parting" is a doctor who revisited the old capital after Zhou people moved eastward. When he saw the once prosperous ancestral temple palace razed to the ground, he couldn't help crying and chanting poems. The whole poem consists of three chapters, each with ten sentences, and the structure among the three chapters is the same.
With the same image in different periods, the development of time, scene change and depression is completed, which conveys the feelings of people in the ethereal and abstract situation and contains endless thoughts and sad feelings for the hero's motherland.
This poem has been handed down from generation to generation and has a great influence. Scholars of later generations often follow the tone of this poem "Feng Wang Li Shu" when writing poems about history and nostalgia. Throughout the dynasties, people sang the poem "Feng Wang Xiaomi" and shed tears. From Cao Zhi's love poems to Xiang embroidery's homesickness poems, from Liu Yuxi's Wuyi Xiang to Jiang Kui's Yangzhou Slow, all of them reflect the charm of Feng Wang Xiaomi. The word "Li Shu" has also become an allusion commonly used by scholars in past dynasties to lament the feelings of national subjugation.
