Original text:

Song of taohuajiang

Author: Wang Anshi

The deer in the palace is a horse, and the Qin people are half dead under the Great Wall.

Avoiding time is not only for merchants, but also for peach farmers in Taoyuan.

After planting a few spring peaches, I picked flowers and ate real branches for a fee.

Children and grandchildren have passed away, although there are fathers and sons without princes and ministers.

Fishing waves and boats are far and near, and flowers meet each other because of the topic.

In the world, there was Qin in ancient times and in the mountains. I didn't expect this to be Jin.

I heard that Chang 'an blew the dust of war, and the spring breeze turned around and touched the towel.

When Zhong Hua went to Ningfu, the world went through Qin several times.

Taoyuan Bank Background:

At the beginning of Jiayou in Song Renzong (1056 1063), both Mei and Wang Anshi were in the capital and had close contacts. Wang Anshi went out to know Changzhou, and Mei has poems "Send the King to Know Piling" and "Peach Garden Tour". So Wang Anshi's Dao Yuan Xing was written in the early years of Jiayou.

Appreciation of Taoyuan Bank:

Since Tao Yuanming chanted the Peach Blossom Garden at the end of Jin Dynasty, there have been endless articles of literati chanting the Peach Blossom Garden. Wang Anshi's "Peach Blossom Garden" is to use this traditional theme to play and recreate it with his own imagination. The whole poem is in contradiction with the tradition of Taoyuan poetry, which always focuses on scene description. It also washed away the immortal breath and focused on the rise and fall of history. It not only expresses dissatisfaction with troubled times, but also expresses yearning for a simple and equal society, which embodies the author's ideal for Yao and Shun and fully embodies the characteristics of politician's poetry.

The first four sentences of this poem aim at explaining the origin of the Peach Blossom Garden. Poem 1: Zhao Gao refers to a deer as a horse, which shows that the political affairs in Qin Dynasty were yellow, the power was sidelined, black and white were reversed, and right and wrong were confused; The Great Wall was built and the people died, which shows that the people are not in danger. The following leads to the narrative of Taoyuan seclusion. Here are four sentences describing the social life in the Peach Blossom Garden, which is isolated, calm and comfortable, without hierarchy and oppression. In the next four sentences, Yu Lang wrote about the fishermen who strayed into Taoyuan and the people in Taoyuan bemoaning each other about the changing world. The last four sentences, to borrow the words of Taoyuan people, lament that the world is cold, there is no peace, and the peace and prosperity are gone forever. The last sentence not only reflects the vicissitudes of dynasties, but also implies that monarchies in previous dynasties were similar to the cruel and short-lived Qin Dynasty, echoing the first two sentences from a distance, reflecting the author's lofty ideal of Yao and Shun. Therefore, the significance of the whole poem goes beyond the scope of praising the Peach Blossom Garden and is full of strong realistic spirit.
