The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is a country located in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. Geography:

Based on 2008, the total value of underground mineral resources in North Korea is as high as 6,983 trillion won (about 6.4 trillion US dollars), including 2,000 tons of gold, 50 million tons of iron, 6 billion tons of magnesite, 4.5 billion tons of anthracite and 2.9 million tons of copper. Only one magnesite being developed in North Korea is enough for North Korea to use10.8 million years.

There are more than 200 kinds of minerals with abundant reserves, with an estimated value of about 6 trillion.
