Bian (191012.08—200012.02), a native of Tangjia Town, Haimen District, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, was originally from Lishui District, Nanjing City. She is a modern and contemporary poet (one of the three poets in Hanyuan) and a literary critic.
During the Anti-Japanese War, he taught in various places and was a student of Xu Zhimo and Hu Shi. It has made great contributions to the cultural and educational undertakings in China. The poem "Broken Chapter" is his immortal masterpiece. He studied Shakespeare well, taught Spanish and made important contributions to modern poetry.
It is recognized as an important poetry school, crescent school and representative poet of modernism in the New Culture Movement.
