Wu's anecdotes and allusions
In the 16th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (1643), Wu and Bian Yujing met. At that time, he was already a world-renowned poet, and Bian Yujing was also one of the famous "Eight Colors of Qinhuai". Her poems and paintings are very good. Wu once praised her for "bright eyes, sunshine and good ink and paper blend together." They fell in love with each other when they saw each other. Bian Yujing touched several cases and asked each other affectionately, "I am also interested." The message of entrusting life is obvious. This time, Wu's choice was quite ambiguous, and he avoided marriage. The situation deteriorated unexpectedly rapidly. In the second year of their separation, Li Zicheng occupied Jingshan Park, the capital of the Ming Dynasty, and hanged himself. More than a month later, Wu Sangui, who was defined by Wu as "rushing to the top and being angry as a beauty", led the Qing army into the customs and swept the Central Plains. Wu lost contact with Bian Yujing in the following years. By chance, Wu found out the whereabouts of Bian Yujing through his old friend's money, and finally waited for a thrilling rumble. The result was that Bian Yujing met him in a cassock. This love affair influenced Wu's life. I will remember it until I die.
