Snow leopard was first discovered in Haidong, Qinghai. Why are snow leopards so rare?

Snow leopard is an endangered wild animal in the world, and it is a national first-class protected animal in China. As the flagship species in the plateau ecosystem, snow leopard is very alert by nature, and people rarely find its trace. On the afternoon of June 17, 2065438, the relevant person in charge of the Propaganda Department of Yudu County Committee of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province told me that the snow leopard and its two cubs were recorded for the first time in Yudu County, which was discovered by herders who dug Cordyceps sinensis.

Snow leopard cubs found in the upper reaches of Tongtian River in Yushu County, Qinghai Province. Breast-feeding snow leopards are especially vigilant. If people interfere or disturb their lives excessively, the mother of Snow Leopard may act quickly and even abandon her nest and cubs. Snow leopards are not gregarious animals. When they grow up, they will live alone and choose food-rich places to nest. There are about 100 rock sheep near the snow leopard nest discovered this time. Snow leopards will choose deeper caves or hidden places to give birth. Snow leopards generally live in plateau areas. With millions of years of continuous evolution, they have become accustomed to this environment. If they move by force, they are easy to get sick and even die. Someone once proposed to protect snow leopards, hoping to give them a better living environment. However, people find that their life expectancy will be greatly shortened, and some even exceed three years.

If you are lucky enough to meet them on the plateau, don't be afraid, because they will not take the initiative to attack human beings, but look at you with poor eyes. When they find that you are meaningless, they will turn away. Snow leopards, like our national treasures, are on the verge of extinction, so we should take good care of them and prevent this creature from disappearing from our world forever.
