In the second year of Yuanhe, Tang Xianzong (AD 807), Shi Jianwu was appointed as the provincial judge of Jiangxi Province, ranking 13th among the scholars, with the Chinese style of "too much discord between Tang Dynasty and Fu Dynasty" and "Mao Xueshi in early spring". Because of his indifference, he could not bear the handover of officialdom, and lived in seclusion in Xishan, Hongzhou (now Nanchang) and devoted himself to monasticism. Xu said, "Although I wanted to become famous, know life was thin, so I plowed the forest valley and settled down at home. Mr. Lai's support, although old, survived the dragon bell. " Besides learning Taoism, he only amused himself with poetry and wine. His self-ordered collection of poems "Xishan Collection" said: "For twenty years, under the loose moon, I drank without eating, and my body and mind were clear, and I saw the sum of heaven and earth." This shows his complacency and leisure after learning Taoism.
Shi Jianwu experienced nine dynasties: morality, obedience, constitutionalism, mu, respect, literature, martial arts, metaphysics and Yi. Just as the Tang Dynasty was on the decline, warlords were fighting, officials and cronies were fighting fiercely, taxes were exorbitant, class contradictions deepened, and people's lives were restless. All these factors prompted him to retire from the common people and devote himself to studying Taoism. The original words of "Twelve people make immortals" in the Western Hills of Hongzhou are highly praised. Therefore, at the beginning of retiring to learn Taoism at the age of 30, he wrote "Singing in the Quiet West Mountain", saying: "The Taoist gods are condensed into gods, and the jade pavilions are renewed. If you teach the way of the Western Hills, you will have thirteen others. " Therefore, his secluded place has never left Xishan, and later he returned to Shibi Temple in Zhaoxianli, his hometown (now a place of virtue).
At the beginning of Taihe in Tang Wenzong (about 827 AD), the desire to visit overseas fairy mountains sprouted, so he led his people to buy a boat to cross the sea. After many vicissitudes, he boarded an unknown island, which is now the Penghu Islands. At this time, there were only a few indigenous people on the island, and the production was in a primitive state. At that time, the economy and culture of the Tang Dynasty were already in the leading position in the world, and the entry of the clans brought great vitality to the production and development of Penghu. The civilization and morality of the mainland also spread on the island and even took root. The fame of "Penghu" has become more and more remarkable, and its foreign exchanges have become more and more frequent, which finally attracted the attention of the court. Since the Southern Song Dynasty, the "Inspection Department" has been set up on the island, with troops and officials in charge of national defense and civil affairs, and mainland people have moved to the island in an endless stream, becoming a part of the administrative region of China.
Shi Jianwu moved to Penghu in his later years, which became a highlight of his life journey and made an indelible contribution to the development of Penghu. In the second year of Xian Tong, Tang Yizong, Shi Jianwu died in Penghu at the age of 82. Later, his people buried him and his wife Liu's coffin in Luomushan (now known as Huashan), the hometown of the mainland.
Shi Jianwu has rich works in his life, which can be divided into two parts: poetry and Taoism. The poem is wonderful and meaningful, and there are ten volumes of Xishan Collection handed down from generation to generation. There are many Taoist works, but few have been handed down from generation to generation. Fire is born in wood, and disaster will happen. If the country is a traitor, it will die if it moves. The cultivation of knowledge is called a saint. Kill it when you are born, and the principle of Tao is also true.

Heaven and earth are thieves of all things. Everything is a thief of mankind. Man is the thief of all things. Three thieves are suitable, and three talents are safe. Therefore, there is a saying that "when you eat, you can learn everything." Move its machine, Wan Huaan. " Man knows his own god, and he is a god, but he doesn't know whether he is a god or not, so he is a god. The number of sun and moon depends on the size. Divine work makes a difference, and so does God. It stole the machine, and the world couldn't see it or know it. A gentleman has a strong bow, but a villain has a light life.

The deaf are good at seeing. Never benefit from one source, but ten times as much as the teacher. It takes ten thousand times as many teachers to work day and night. The mind is born in things, dies in things, and the machine is in the eye. Heaven doesn't know grace, and great grace comes from itself. Thunder and wind are stupid. Be happy, be quiet and be cheap. Heaven is private, and heaven is public. Birds are made on the grass. The living is the root of death. The dead, the root of life. Grace is born of harm, and harm is born of grace. Fools use heaven, earth, art and sages, while I use time and things to create art and philosophy. People are worried about fools, and I'm not stupid. People expect his holiness, but I expect his holiness. So sinking into the fire is self-destruction. The way of nature is quiet, so everything in the world is born. The way of heaven and earth is immersed, so yin and yang win. Yin and Yang push each other, but the changes are smooth. Therefore, saints know that the way of nature cannot be violated, so they make it the quietest way and cannot be contracted by laws and calendars. There are strange things, all kinds of things, gossip, ghosts. The technique of yin and yang winning each other is obvious.
