The Beauty of Rhythm and Empathy —— Thoughts on Reading Chapter 7 of Letters on Beauty

? In the seventh chapter of Talking about Beautiful Letters, Mr. Zhu Guangqian expounded the aesthetic knowledge of physiology from three aspects: rhythm, empathy and imitation. Read here, will produce * * *.

? Mr. Wang said: "Rhythm is the most primitive and universal trinity art-the common element of music, dance and singing". Rhythm exists not only in works of art, but also in people's physiological activities. "Artists use tones and rhythms to express their thoughts and interests, and the audience experiences or infects that kind of thoughts and interests from this tone and rhythm, thus resonating." This paper also quotes two poems, Li Bai's Difficult Road to Shu and Han Yu's Listening to a Wonderful Teacher Playing the Piano, to appreciate the abrupt and ups and downs of Li's poems from the perspective of rhythm. The changes of Korean poetry are varied and in sharp contrast.

? Speaking of rhythm, I can't help thinking that when someone built a house and rammed the foundation in the village as a child, there was always a lead singer standing in the middle, and a group of strong laborers were carrying a big stone roller and singing together: "Hang, yo, hang, yo, hang-"No matter whether it was long or short, it was full of rhythm and particularly powerful. The lively labor scene is particularly impressive.

When we explain ancient poetry to students, we often appreciate it from the perspective of the beauty of rhythm, especially when we instruct recitation, we will express the beauty of poetry content and emotion through the cadence of sound lines. But some people deliberately express an impact with a particularly high voice in order to highlight their feelings. I remember once going to class, a teacher was full of passion. In the ten-minute micro-class, the voice seems to be shouting, but it makes people feel unattractive, just because of the lack of rhythm. As Mr. Zhu Guangqian commented, "If you don't relax, you will do everything."

? The beauty of rhythm is not only reflected in the sound, for example, when teaching students to write a composition, there should also be a wonderful climax in a stable narrative, so that the story can be fascinating and the scenery can be highlighted.

? The so-called "empathy" means that when people concentrate on an object (natural or artistic works), they forget the object, reach the identity of things, and "project" or transfer people's life and interest to the object, so that inanimate and interesting foreign objects seem to have human life activities, and only physical things have human feelings.

? There are many famous sentences in China's poems that show empathy. For example, Li Bai's "Seeing each other late, only Jingting Mountain." Du Fu's "Where there are tears, the lonely bird sings sorrow" Jiang Xie's "Several peaks are bitter, yellow rain" Qin Guan's "It's like a lonely pavilion in spring, and the cuckoo is in the sunset." It is an artistic technique commonly used by people in poetry to express emotion through scenery and blend scenes. Tao Yuanming only loves chrysanthemums, Zhou Dunyi only loves lotus flowers, Zheng Banqiao likes bamboo and Lin Hejing likes plum blossoms, all of which unify "my taste" and "the taste of things".

? Empathy often has unintentional imitation. For example, if you concentrate on watching a ball game, you will unconsciously raise your arm to shoot, concentrate on enjoying a martial arts performance, and occasionally want to do it twice. Listening to others sing to an emotional place will naturally hum a few times with the rhythm. These are imitation actions caused by aesthetic experience. The so-called "beauty of beauty, beauty of beauty, beauty and * * *" is nothing more than that.
