Why is the national flower of Chile lily?

Chileans like it because of its beautiful personality. Its flowering period can last from September (early spring) to the following winter solstice; What's more, this flower loves her native land very much and refuses to leave. If they are forced to leave their homeland, even if the conditions are superior, they will use death to express their resistance and loyalty to the motherland. According to the newspaper Chile, 1780, a Spanish naturalist named hipolito Ruiz saw this flower in Chile and took it to France with great care, trying to transplant it into the palace garden. As a result, "Kirby Wei" eventually died because he didn't want to leave his old country. Later, some botanists in North America and Europe tried to transplant and failed. In the eyes of the Chilean people, "Kebiwei" is a symbol that the Chilean people love independence and yearn for freedom. It is used as the national flower to show this spirit.
