Appreciation of lovesickness poems by Yang Shen in "Langtaosha·Spring Dreams Are Like Yanghua"

Spring dreams are like poplar flowers, traveling around the world. The oriole crows through the green window screen. The fragrant clouds are frightened and cannot fly away, and the seal smoke is slanting.

Oil-walled small incense car, Shui Miaoyun is on credit. The brothel's pearl foil family. The scarf of the old days is wet with tears today.

-----Yang Shen

In the third year of Jiajing (1524), thirty-seven-year-old Yang Shen was banished to Yongchang Guards in Yunnan for accepting the imperial staff against Shizong’s wishes. After living in Yunnan for more than thirty years, he finally died in a foreign country. This poem was written during the period of exile. According to Ming Dynasty Yang Nanjin's "Preface to Sheng'an Long and Short Sentences": "Tai Shigong was relegated to southern Yunnan. He was inspired by wine, and his love was in lyrics and music. It was spread in Yunnan clouds and overflowed in the barbarians. In the past, people said: Eat well water Liu Ci is sung everywhere; Yang Ci is sung even in places where people don’t drink well water.” Through this sad and downbeat poem, with beautiful imagery and gorgeous words, we can get a glimpse of the inner world of Yang Shen, a generation of scholars. , see another aspect of his literary character.

The beginning of the poem shows the reader a hazy dream-like picture, and a feeling of persistence and tragic lovesickness rushes over. "Spring Dream", the dream of spring, is extended to the dream of lovesickness. For example, "Miscellaneous Poems" by Shen Quanqi of the Tang Dynasty: "My family is near Weibei, and spring dreams are in western Liaoning." Wen Tingyun's "Bodhisattva Man": "Spring dreams are about love, and the cicada's temples are light in the mirror." "Yanghua" means catkins. In Su Shi's "Shuilongyin·Ciyunzhang Zhihu Yanghua Ci" there are "Dreams follow the wind thousands of miles, looking for the man, and he is still called by the orioles" and "Looking carefully, it is not the poplars, but the tears of the departed people". sentence. Here, Yang Shen reimagines the context of his predecessors and combines it into a new picture, using "likeness" to describe the situation and emotions of lovesickness turning into a dream, and being haunted by dreams. The phrase "Huang Ying" also comes from the poems of previous generations. According to the poem "Spring Resentment" by Jinchangxu of the Tang Dynasty: "When you fight the yellow oriole, don't let it cry on the branches. When it crows, it will frighten the concubine's dream and she will not go to Liaoxi." This sentence captures the poetic meaning of Jin's poem. The word "啼婷" means that the oriole's crow breaks people's dreams but refuses to entertain people with its wonderful songs and flies away to other places. This is a new meaning given by the author. The shooting was started with an artistic technique that combines the strengths of other artists and is cleverly adapted to show the deep sympathy and understanding of the lovesickness of the brothel girls. The artistic conception is lingering and the emotion is deep. In Yang Shen's "Zhaojun's Resentment", there is also a good line "Who is surprised by the good dream, the sound of an oriole", which can be compared with the lines "Spring Dream" and "Huangying". The two sentences "Shocking the fragrant clouds" directly describe the environment of the missing woman, showing her lonely life of living in a boudoir, pampered and bored. The missing woman woke up from her dream, and the illusive and smoke-like scene seemed to still appear in front of her eyes, like the incense clouds that could not fly away and the wisps of oblique smoke that lingered everywhere. The poem "Magpie Stepping on the Branch" by Feng Yansi of the Five Dynasties goes: "The orioles talk nonsense while sleeping, and the good dreams are frightened and can't be found." Yang's poems make this kind of infatuation with residual dreams more concrete and vivid. "Zhuanlu" refers to the smoke of incense. "Zhuan" is a metaphor for coiled incense, so named because its shape is like a loop of seal characters. The artistic conception of Song Qinguan's "Reduced Words Magnolia" in the poem "If you want to see the ileum, cut off the incense of the small seal script in the golden furnace" is expressed here in an implicit way. It can be seen that the author learned from the ancients and has long since got rid of the habit of deliberately imitating.

The second film reflects the memories of happy times in the past, expresses the deep affection between the two people from the perspective of the missed person, and expresses the painful feelings of lovesickness between men and women. The "Xiang Car" of "Youbi" is a luxurious car used by women in ancient times. It is named after the walls of the car are painted with tung oil. "New Odes of Yutai" contains "Su Xiaoge of Qiantang" which says: "I ride on an oil-walled chariot, and my husband rides on a green horse. Where can we unite as one, under the pines and cypresses in Xiling." "Shui Miao Yun Credit", the poet thinks of the happy times in the past, It is as vague as water and as far away as clouds, leaving only an unforgettable memory. This should be an allusion to the poem "Allegory" written by Yan Shu of the Song Dynasty: "The incense carriages on the oil wall will no longer meet, and the clouds in the gorge will leave no trace to the west and east." The sentence "brothel" makes this unforgettable longing between the two places sad, sad, and deeply touching. "Brothet", a luxurious building painted with green lacquer. "Pearl foil" means bead curtain. Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty wrote in his poem "A Gift to a Beauty on the Mosque": "The beauty smiles and points out that the red building is my concubine's home." Aftertaste. The two closing sentences use bold imagination and exaggerated techniques to outline the heroine's longing and mood, which is touching, vivid and lifelike. "Luo scarf", silk handkerchief. "Pinhua" refers to the lead powder used by women for makeup. Wen Tingyun of the Tang Dynasty said in "Bodhisattva Man": "The pearls fell from the jade fibers, and the flow was dark and wet. The lead was thin." The towels given to each other when they were in love in the past can only be used to wipe away the tears of lovesickness today. Even so He couldn't stop the tears from flowing down his face and could only let them wash away the makeup on his face. The contrast between the present and the past is used to highlight the joys and sorrows, and the word "dampness" highlights the deepness of longing and the sincerity of affection. The entire poem ends with the protagonist bursting into tears, leaving people with not only a deep regret and a long sigh, but also endless sadness and unspeakable helplessness.

Yang Shen highly respected the writings of the Six Dynasties and praised the poetry of the early Tang Dynasty as "the elegance and sentimentality of the Six Dynasties." Judging from this poem, no matter in terms of lyricism, narrative, language, style, etc., it is All of them clearly have the characteristics of the Six Dynasties' elegant rhetoric, and are also deeply influenced by the Huajian Ci School. Therefore, Qingmao Xianshu commented on Yang Shen's poems as "having the beauty of bathing in orchids and spitting out snow with Ying Ying" ("Ci Bian Di"), and Chen Tingzhuo also said that "the combination of Xiao Ling and Yang Shen has the legacy of five generations" ("Bai Yuzhai Ci Hua") ), in addition to using the famous sentences of the predecessors to make a natural and seamless combination, which is also a major feature of this word.
