When was the Lu Xun Literature Award established?

Lu Xun Literature Prize was founded in 1986.

Lu Xun Literature Award is a literary award named after Mr. Lu Xun, the great standard-bearer of China New Culture Movement. Together with Lao She Literature Award, Mao Dun Literature Award and Cao Yu Drama Literature Award, it is called the four major literary awards in China. Lu Xun Literature Award is one of the highest honors in China. It aims to reward the creation of excellent novellas, short stories, reportage, poems, essays and literary theory reviews, and the translation of Chinese and foreign literary works, so as to promote the prosperity and development of China literature.

Lu Xun Literature Award is selected once every two years, and Lu Xun Literature Award is selected once every four years. Works with excellent ideological and artistic quality in a certain literary genre will be selected this year. The first prize started with 1997, and the works of 1995- 1996 were selected. Including the following awards: National Excellent Novelette Award; National Excellent Short Story Award; National Outstanding Reportage Literature Award; National Excellent Poetry Award; National Excellent Prose Essay Award; National Excellent Literary Theory and Literary Criticism Award; National outstanding literary translation award.
