Manas is a heroic epic sung orally by Kirgiz people from generation to generation. Manas is a famous hero and leader in Kirgiz legend, and he is the embodiment of strength, courage and wisdom.
Manas is a world-famous literary work, one of China's three epics, with about 200,000 lines. Singing by Kirgiz singer gusev Ma Mei from China, it has been included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind by UNESCO. There are at least three Manas research centers in China.
Historical origin
Manas was born in the 9th 9- 10/0th century. In the process of spreading, "Manas" has become fuller and more legendary after being refined by Kirgiz singers in previous dynasties.
Manas began to spread in the16th century and has been passed down from mouth to mouth for thousands of years. Folk singers play an important role in the creation and inheritance of epics.
Manas's census began in the 1960s. Many singers singing Manas were found in the census, and all kinds of Manas sketches were recorded.
