The author of Haiyan is Gorky.

"Petrel", also known as "Song of Petrel", is a famous prose poem written by Gorky. "Haiyan" is also the pioneer work of proletarian literature. "Haiyan" advances the content structure layer by layer, echoing back and forth, forming an organic unity.

Gorky took "Petrel" as a clue to the approaching storm. It can be divided into three major scenes according to the development and changes of the sea surface.
