Only the peony is the real beauty, which attracted countless people to appreciate at the flowering stage and alarmed the whole Chang 'an City. This poem is a tribute to peony, and its praise method is to restrain him and praise him. The poet does not describe the beauty of peony from the front, but writes peony from the side. At the beginning of the poem, comment on peony and lotus first. Peony and lotus are very popular flowers. The poet, on the other hand, praised the peony with "peony without demon" and "pure and affectionate lotus" to set off its high standard and beautiful charm. "Peony" was originally a kind of flower with ornamental value, but according to legend, after Wu Zetian in Tang Dynasty, "Peony bloomed at the beginning and declined" (Preface to Wang Yufu Peony Poetry). Some people even compare the peony to the "flower king" and the peony to the "near waiter". Here, with subjective feelings, Liu Yuxi described peony as enchanting but not high in style. "Lotus" is a flower that often appears lofty and clean in poetry, but Liu Yuxi probably said that she is pure and heartless because she is graceful in the pool and can only watch from a distance but not play near. This implies that peony has four characteristics: demon, purity, personality and affection, which can be described as the most beautiful flower.
This poem was originally "Appreciating Peony", but when it was written, peony and lotus were evaluated first. Peony, a flower with the same ornamental value, was loved by people earlier than peony. In The Book of Songs, there are happy scenes in which men and women in the State of Zheng gave each other peonies, but there is no record of giving peonies at the same time. Therefore, in the Song Dynasty, Han Qi wrote in "North Peony": "Zheng Shi is rewarded, but not in peony." But with the passage of time, social customs are constantly changing. After Wu Zetian came to power in the Tang Dynasty, "the peony bloomed at the beginning and declined", so that some people compared the peony to the king and the peony to the servant. With the decline of peony status, Liu Yuxi thinks that its style is not high, so peony is enchanting and unqualified.
Lotus, lotus, has often appeared in poetry and prose since Qu Yuan. Probably because it stands high on the surface of the pond, people can only watch it from a distance and can't play near it. Liu Yuxi thinks it is pure but heartless. So far, there are two kinds of flowers that can be compared with peony, which have been evaluated respectively: peony has a long history of cultivation and is deeply loved by people, but it is "enchanting"; Lotus is indeed a gentleman in the flower, lofty and clean, but Leng Yan is unfaithful. At this point, the introduction of the author's favorite two sentences can be said to be finished, and I only look forward to the grand debut of the "test" in the author's mind.
"Only the peony is the real national color, and the flowers bloom in Beijing." "National color" used to refer to the most beautiful woman in a country. When used here as a metaphor for peony, it shows the superior beauty of peony. Although the word "true" is an adverb, it emphasizes the tone; "Unique" is a unique choice, which strengthens the weight of evaluation and appreciation, and takes care of the above two sentences. It means that the reason for making such a unique choice is to confirm the status of "only this one" after careful comparison. After such a beautiful evaluation and high generalization, the ending of "Flower Season Moves Beijing" not only reflects the custom of Beijing people to enjoy flowers, but also sets off the attractive charm of peony flowers from the side: it is precisely because of its admirable "national color" that Beijing's "flower season" is a sensation, and people compete to praise and enjoy flowers.
In these four short poems, three kinds of famous flowers are written, which contain the poet's rich aesthetic thoughts. The poet did not forget to praise the beautiful side of peony and lotus, but also highlighted the beauty of peony, which made people think deeply. As flowers and trees, there is no difference in style or emotion, but the poet skillfully and vividly transformed natural beauty into artistic beauty through personification and contrast, leaving an unforgettable impression on people.
