Xie, a native of Guangshan, Henan Province, is an influential writer after 1960s. Graduated from Chinese Department of Zhengzhou University, and began to create literature in 1980s. He has published his works in various literary journals under the pen names Zibo, Yihe and A Mu. He is currently a member of Henan Writers Association, vice president of Xinyang Fiction Society and chairman of Guangshan Writers Association.
